Celebrate Art Nouveau Day in Barcelona and commemorate Gaudí's centenary with exclusive open houses and the best urban route on wheels. Hola Barcelona takes you there!
Every June 10th, International Art Nouveau Day (Dia Internacional del Modernisme) is celebrated. In 2026, this event is historic as it coincides with the centenary of Antoni Gaudí’s death. Barcelona becomes the epicentre of a movement that transformed the city into living art; therefore, the Barcelona Bus Turístic is the best strategy to tour the city and connect with the transcendence of these days.
June 10th: The Eternal Legacy of the Genius from Reus
The date commemorates the death of two great minds of the movement: Ödön Lechner (1914) and Antoni Gaudí. The Catalan genius passed away on June 10th, 1926, at the Hospital de la Santa Creu after being struck by a tram. A century later, his loss is transformed into a collective tribute to a figure who redefined Barcelona's skyline
