Floats, parades, and magic

The parade will feature more than 12 spectacular floats, each designed to bring the magic of the Three Kings to the city. There will be royal floats filled with gifts and sweets, accompanied by parades of dancers, jugglers, and musicians who will liven up the route with festive choreographies and melodies.

This year, special emphasis is also placed on sustainability, with floats powered by electricity and recyclable materials used in the decorations.

Recommendations for enjoying the Parade

  • Arrive early: To secure a good spot, it is recommended to arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time.
  • Public transport: It is recommended to use the metro, bus, or train to travel to the parade route, as many streets will be closed to traffic. The metro network will operate on Sunday, January 5, until 2:00 AM, as it is a holiday eve.
  • Dress warmly: January can be a cold month, so wearing warm clothing and comfortable shoes is essential.

One of the most awaited moments of the Parade is the rain of candies thrown by the Kings and their helpers along the route. As every year, the candies will be suitable for people with food intolerances, ensuring that everyone can enjoy this sweet tradition.

Historic buses in the Three Kings Parade

As is customary, TMB actively participates in this event that marks the end of the Christmas campaign. In addition to the essential collaboration of various volunteer drivers and technicians, TMB contributes double-decker buses from the Barcelona Bus Turístic and the mechanical platforms of several floats that will parade in the Cavalcade, as well as three historic buses from the TMB Foundation: the Dodge Brothers 240 (1940), the Aclo Regent III double-decker (1948), and the Chausson 59 (1955).

Additionally, this year during the Cavalcade in Barcelona, a tribute will be paid to the centenary of the metro!

Get ready to experience a unique event and let yourself be carried away by the magic of the Three Kings. Barcelona is already prepared to welcome them with open arms! Hola Barcelona takes you there!
