Barcelona will feel the Christmas spirit with a spectacular switch on lights on November 23. The epicenter of the celebration will take place on Passeig de Gràcia, to commemorate the 200 years of this emblematic road.
At 6:00 p.m., the Astronomical show, produced by Obskené, will welcome a magical time of year with elements of circus, music, dance, and lights to create a unique experience that will precede the lighting of the entire city. The show is a visual story that pays tribute to the astronomer Assumpció Català. This festive light display will illuminate the streets of Barcelona until January 6, bringing joy and color to every corner of the city.
If you want to enjoy Barcelona with a special color, you will have a few weeks to do so and you will be able to feel its magic every day: from Sunday to Thursday, the Christmas light will shine from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., while on Fridays and Saturdays, They will do it until 11:00 p.m. However, on designated dates such as New Year's Eve, the lights will remain on until 1:00 in the morning.
This year, lighting hours have been reduced compared to previous years as an energy saving measure. The lighting event, scheduled one day before Black Friday, will mark the official start of the Christmas season in the city, take advantage and enjoy an exciting season!
